Poor old Josh.He was fairly boxed around the ring by the Floyd Merryweather of the tipping fraternity.It only took THE TRIFF one round to send Dirk packing.Dave is starting to sound like Anthony Mundine.He is looking for fresh blood and has put the word out for any challengers.We had a call from the Dongara police who put forward the name of the quickest man they know on four wheels.So I fronted Mr.M.Schumacher(A.Hagg) who agreed to race him.They were going to have a ticket on it but Mr.H said he already had a ticket.So gentlemen start your engines.

Wonthella Maroon defeated Denison Blue at home proving to strong in both divisions.

In 1st division the Lee Farrell, team had a good win 21/16 over the team of C Watson,

John Hutchcraft was the only Denison team to win on the day winning by 1 point

from the Ian Hamilton team.

The Gary Preston side defeated B.Price by 4 points 27/23 giving Maroon the aggregate

65/57 and 5 points to 1

2nd division was a win for both Maroon teams Justin D'Mello and his team set the ball

rolling with a good win over the L.Baskerville team 24/18

Allan Hagg had a big win over the T.Richardson side 29/11

winning the aggregate 53/29 and 4 points to nil

In the game of the day G'ton Red at home to G'ton Gold, did not live up to my predictions

going down 6 points

In the agg to Gold in a great game. Although Red won two games they still lost the

aggregate by the big win of

The Steve Palmer who won by a massive 22 points giving Gold the them game 4/2 points,

Joe Criddle defeated

Kevin Robartson, 24/16, Merv Grigsby defeated Brian Wright, 25/18 but still could not

get the points.

In 2nd division, Ross Smith had a resounding win over Ron Scott defeating his

Close call over L Planting 24/22 in hard fought game, Gold winning the agg and points 4/0

G'ton Blue travelled to Mullewa to record a big win in 1st division, a aggregate of 90/45

with 6 points to nil

Colin Morgan is back in the winning circle with his win over D McPherson, 31/15,

John Peet, Mike Bolt team defeated Lloyd Morgan 25/19

2nd division was a bit better the team of E Morgan defeated L Atkinson, 22/13 for

Mullewa second win in 2nd

division which is great to see. Ernie Thompson team had a big win giving G'ton Blue

the aggregate and points

44 to 29 aggregate, 3 points to 1.

Northampton continued on their winning streak by downing Denison White

at home in 1st division & 2nd division

The only side for North to lose on the day was the strong Alan French team

which was defeated by the team

of G Robb 19/11, Jimmy Ferguson was defeated by the Ian Thomas team 22/13,

Doug Maver accounted for

Rick Roberts 25/9, North's with a aggregate of 58/41 & 5 points to 1 ran out winners

for the day.

2nd division saw some great bowls played in very close game Alf Eaton

defeated Mick Lee by 1 point but this

was not enough to give Denison the day as Alf Denny went down to Dave Reynolds

by two points giving North's

The game and the aggregate by just one point North's winning 37/36 and 3/1.

Wonthella Green at home to Wonthella Gold Eddie Dodd just got home against

the team of John Dillon by a

Point 21/20, Brian Walter standing in for Syd McCann had a good win 34/15 to give

Gold the aggregate and the

Points, Dave Triffitt & Peter Harris had a hard fought draw 21all Gold winning 5 1/2 to a 1/2.

2nd division saw Nick Waldon defeat Ian Perretts team 18/17, but that was not enough

Results of last weeks BBL pennants Saturday 24th November

Wonthella Maroon, after a exciting finish just got up to beat G'ton Red

at home by 6 points, in 1st division.

The Lee Farrell, side defeated the Merv Gigsby, team by only

one point 23/22

Brad King went down to the strong Gary Preston team 20/13

The only G'ton side to record a victory was Kelvin Hughes 19/17

win over the Ian Hamilton side in a very close game

Wonthella Maroon winning 5/1 with an aggregate of 60/54

2nd division was also a close fought encounter, with Wonthella Maroon

just getting over the line, 40/34 & 3/1

Justin D'Mello had trouble with the J Burnett team going down 21/12,

but it was the efforts of the consistent

Alan Hagg team winning 28/13 giving Maroon the aggregate and the

points for a close win congratulations,

Wonthella Maroon winning both grades.

The league Leaders Wonthella Gold to strong at home for Denison Blue,

B Price tried hard but had no answers

For the team of Eddie Dodd 24/19,

Dave Triffitt, continued his good form
