Split four, Lional Bastian, played twice Colin Parker, Bev Rumble, 14/9, Guilo Imerito, Ian Dellamotte, Emrys Harries, 17/10, Alan Pead, Tom Bannister, Mick Lee, from Kalbarri, 18/13, Stuart Stevens, Phil Short, Merv Reid, 13/7

MENS PENNANT SUMMARY By John Craig

Wonthella Maroon at home to Mullewa, The only home side to have a clear cut

 win was the Garry Preston

Team, with a big win over the D Mcpherson side 38/10, the Lee Farrell side were

lucky to come away with a  

Draw against J Peet who played with a lot of determination to nearly get up on the

 line, finishing with 24/24 

Lloyd Morgan and his team had a hard fought win over Ian Hamiltons team 26/20,

 Wonthella winning with 82/60

Aggregate and 4 1/2 points to 1 1/2.

2nd division was also a close encounter, Juston D'Mello was defeated by Evan Morgan,

 25/21 in a good game

Paddy Barden went down in a big way to the strong Alan Hagg team 26/12 to give

Wonthella the points and

aggregate 47/37 and 3 points to 1.

Denison White Travelled to Wonthella but were  beaten by the local side, 

Wonthella Gold 5/1.

Syd McCann got the ball rolling with a big win over the Rick Roberts team 30/8 to

set Wonthella up for a good

Win in 1st division. Dave Triffett team continued on with a good win over the team

of P Grabb 27/12.

The only Gold team to go down was the Eddie Dodd team to H Eaton 22/17

Wonthella Gold winning 74/42 agg

2nd division the Noel Lee, team went down to A Hendy 26/15, and Murray McGillivray

 team who have been 

playing so well also went down to A Denny 25/22 giving the Denison side the

aggregate and the points.

Mick Bolt continued on his good form to record a big win over the John Dillon side

 27/13 in the 1st division 

game between G'ton Blue & Wonthella Green. Peter Harris & Tony O'Brien Saved

the day by recording good 

Wins for their respected sides. Peter Harris won 22/16 over the Colin Morgan team,

 Tony O'Brien Winning

31/14 in a great win to win the aggregate 66/57 and 5/1 points. 

G'ton Blue turned the tables in 2nd division by defeating Wonthella Green at home,

 Bert Turner had a big win 

over Alex Watt winning 31/14 from Wonthella. Hugh Levett made up some ground

having a big win over the

other G'ton side 26/12 but it was not enough to win the day G'ton Blue 43/40 & 3/1 points

G'ton Blue at home to Northampton, after last weeks win North will be hard to beat in 1st & 2nd division.
G'ton Gold at home to Mullewa Gold in both divisions.
Wonthella Gold in both divisions at home to Denison Blue.

RESULTS OF MENS PRESIDENTS PAIRS PLAYED 24-11-07

We had 22 teams contesting the presidents pairs in very favourable conditions.It was a good daywith all 4 games played with a different format.1st game was 2 by 2 by 2 by 2.the second game was 2 by 4 by 2.the 3rd was 3 bowls pairs and the last was 2 bowls .

1st round winners were Gary Preston and Les Rowe Embarassed

2nd round winners were Jeff Campbell and Brian Clausen Surprised

3rd round winners were Charles Murphy and Chris Goldthorp Cool

4th round winners were Lee Farrell and John Craig Money mouth

The overall winners were:(they didn't actually win overalls)

3RD PLACE  JACK WHEELDON AND JOE DIEPERVEEN Smile

2ND PLACE KEITH STEWART AND JIM BARRETT     Smile

1ST PLACE  SELWYN POWER AND RICK CULSHAW  Laughing

THIS WEEK JOHN CRAIG WILL BE PITTING HIS WITS AGAINST DAVE (THE TRIFFITTI )TO SEE WHO WILL BE THE CHAMPION TIPPER FOR THE 10TH ROUND.DAVE DOESN'T BELIEVE ANYONE WILL BE ABLE TO BEAT HIM SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST SEE DAVE AT THE BAR AND IF JONNO DOESN'T BEAT HIM THIS WEEK WE WILL PUT YOU AGAINST HIM NEXT ROUND.THERE ARE HUGE PRIZES TO BE WON (official lie).I DONT THINK JOHN HAS SLEPT SINCE HE ACCEPTED THE CHALLENGE AS THE PRESSURE IS WELL AND TRULY ON HIM TO PERFORM.  Laughing

Due to an unrecoverable problem with the previous news system, a new system based on on the LifeType blogging system has been implemented. All usernames and passwords etc. are exactly the same. Previous posts will be transferred to this new system ASAP. For contributors, just click the Admin link in the menu to the right to begin posting. Enjoy. Laughing

Please note this new system has only just been implemented and though proven to be stable, still has some styling issues at the moment.
