Colin Morgan had a good win over the Jeff Eaton’s team winning 20 to 17. Ian Thomas only just got their defeating Mike Fords side by one point 22 to 21.
2nd division
G’ton Blue managed to win one game, J Burnett and his team defeated Peter Harrod’s team 22 to 20 in a close game. It was the win of L Panting’s team with their big score of 34 to 11 that won the aggregate 54 to 33 and 3 points to 1.
Mullewa at home to Wonthella Gold. Mullewa acquitted themselves very well it was the game between the Eric Ryan team and Lloyd Morgan that was the main difference
Eric team winning 31 to 18. Lee Farrell back for the first time this year led his side to victory over the J Peet team 20 to 16. The Brian Walter’s team could only manage a draw against the ever-reliable Dave McPherson 17 all in a great game.
Wonthella Gold winners with an aggregate of 68 to 51 and 5 ½ points to a ½ point.
2nd division
Phil Short in his new position as skip did a good job of defeating the E Morgan side
22 to 15 points. Brian Clarke only just got there winning 22 to 19 in a close encounter with the R Williamson team who put up a great battle to only just go down.
Wonthella Gold the victors with an aggregate of 44 to 34 and 4 points to nil.
The side of John Hutchcraft defeated Steve Palmer’s side, which could be described as a great win for the home side Denison Blue 20 to 15. Then B Price drew with the Brian Wright’s team 21 all, this looked like it was going to be Denison’s surprise of the round, but Brad King and his team had other ideas winning their game 25 to 15 this gave G’ton Gold the aggregate of 61 to 56 and 4 ½ points to 1 ½ in a hard fought Game well done G’ton Gold.
2nd division
This was another good tussle the Denison team skippered by C Watson defeated Jim Bean team 24 to 16.
L Baskerville was defeated by G McLeary team 32 to 10 this big win gave G’ton Gold the aggregate 48 to 34 and 3 points to one.

Dave Gunsser went down to the Northampton team skippered by Steve Sayers 20 to 17. Mike Lee’s team defeated the Peter Swaan Wonthella team 20 to 13. It was the team of Bill Alford’s that saved the bacon of Wonthella running out victors with an aggregate of 63 to 53 and 4 points to one.
2nd Division
Northampton looked set for a win when Dave Reynolds defeated the Reg Stribley side 20 to 18, but the good win of the Mal Attrill side 25 to 20 gave Wonthella the aggregate 43 to 40 in a close game. Wonthella winning 3 points to one.

Just a look at what I saw last week.
Don’t take a lot of this seriously.Mostly
a lighthearted look at some of the goings on
i saw or heard last week.
On Tuesday a merry band of men(?)
Shifted 10m of sand from the front of
the new fence. They do a great job and I think the average age would have been 93.
We are still in need of a qualified greenkeeper. The guys helping out are doing a good job but.
Gary Preston is floating an idea around that he would like comment on. He is wanting to have an over 60’s tournament once a month. For more details or comments see CRASH.(AKA Gary Preston)
Mens pennants is fast approaching and there is a lot of interest being shown at the selection board. There has been a lot of jockeying for positions, with a lot of money being passed to the selectors in plain brown paper bags.It looks like the more money in the bag the better chance you have of securing your preferred position.(only Joe King). The selectors have a very hard job ahead of them.
The 1st week is a double header
so it should be an interesting start
to the season. I wish all the teams good luck.
Rumour is That Triff is back but for how long we don’t know. There is talk he is off to Wanneroooo the second week of the season to play 3rd for Geoff Ellis.
Now I know that Geoff is a pretty good bowler but he will have to work on his upper body strength as his shoulders are going to get one hell of a work out trying to carry him. you only have to look at Fos’, JD’s & Ricks shoulders to see what he did to them when they carried him for 2 years.
If you have anything you want posted or any feedback let me know and I can post it.I will catch you later next week.

Sorry to anyone who left before the presentations. Josh was awhile composing himself and his acceptance speech. Plus it took him awhile to do his hair. His speech although pretty long was well worth the entrance fee. He thanked everyone except for the sponsor.
Mick also provided the great scoreboard attendant with a Four and Twenty which he was supposed to share with the mob that stayed behind but that didn’t happen either.
RESULTS OF THE SYD POWDER RUN CORNER TO CORNER WERE
Sorry but we didn’t have one today as Syd couldn’t be bother turning up as he was otherwise occupied. He did however turn up to witness the great pie eating contest which was won by Ian Ronald.
The only thing Ronald didn’t win was the Euchre game he had with The Wannerooo Kid.
Remember there is only one more game before the Grand Final which should be a Eric (Ripper). Its your last chance to get a handicap so get your names in early so you wont be disappointed.
